Beliefs & Values

Our core, life-changing BELIEFS

Father – Son – Holy Spirit

We’re deeply loved by our Heavenly Father. By His grace, we’re saved from our sin through faith in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live today, bearing fruit in our lives and giving us an eternal hope of enjoying and glorifying God forever.

Bible – Prayer – Worship

We believe God speaks to us today, primarily through his Word in the Bible. We respond by turning to God in prayer, being dependent and expectant. With grateful hearts, we worship Him in songs of praise and with our whole lives.

Evangelism – Discipleship – Social Action

We’re committed to reaching out to everyone with the good news of Jesus Christ, growing together as disciples of Christ and serving those in need in our community.

Local – Regional – Global

We have a local focus of our Anglican Parish, a regional emphasis on the Waterside and Southampton City and a Global reach to Rwanda, India and other Mission Partners.

Our aspirational, life-enhancing VALUES

Hospitable and Loving

We welcome everyone who comes among us and make space for people in our lives. We love one another, we rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep and bear one another’s burdens.

All-Age and All-In

We are a multi-generational family of all ages and stages, growing together, learning from each other and bearing with each other. We encourage an every-member ministry, wanting to see everyone use their God-given gifts as we seek to glorify God together.

Contemporary and Traditional

We enjoy a rich variety of worship with fresh, lively family services and facilities at St Andrew’s, alongside our more traditional services and church building of All Saints’.

Engaged and Distinctive

We are a Christian presence at the heart of our community, engaging with people’s lives not only on Sundays but throughout the week. We are honest about our own brokenness and weakness, yet resolve in God’s grace to follow Jesus and live distinctive lives which make a difference in today’s world.
