One of the most useful gifts we took out with us last time we visited Maranyundo were reading glasses – they are very expensive in Rwanda and difficult to obtain. If anyone in the congregation has any they no longer use, or even generously wants to buy us new ones, we will be taking these out with us on our trip in July. It doesn’t matter what the prescription or strength is. We will also take old glasses to correct short-sighted or long-sighted vision. This is a simple gift that really changes people’s lives. We will leave a collection box under the bookstall table in the inner foyer or you can give them to Pippa Brown on a Sunday.
