Giving & How to Give

We’re so grateful for every gift given, both today and in the past. St Andrew’s has always had an incredible spirit of generosity for which we thank and praise God. We appreciate times are tough for many financially and now may not be the time to increase your giving. We don’t want anyone to feel guilty, but to rejoice that God has called us together to share our resources.

Giving is an act of worship in response to all God has given us. We begin speaking about giving by focussing on God and the abundant generosity God shows to us in creation, life and through the gift of his Son, Jesus.

To support the work of the Parish of Dibden Churches (St Andrew’s and All Saints’), you can donate in the following ways.

Preferred Methods of Giving:

1. Parish Giving Scheme

  • Whether you want to make a single donation or set up regular giving, this is the easiest and cheapest way for us to process your gift. We have joined this national scheme, which is provided to us free of administration charges.
  • Please click on this link and complete the required information, or use the QR code below.

2. Standing Order

  • Many people in our church family already use this way of regular giving. This does not cost us anything in transaction fees and we can claim back any gift aid where possible.
  • Once every 2 years we encourage people to review their giving and make a pledge to enable us to plan ahead as a PCC. If you could consider setting up a monthly Standing Order we would be extremely grateful.
  • You would need to contact your bank or set up using online banking.* Our church’s bank account details are:

CAF Bank
Dibden PCC
Account number 00019164
Sort Code 40-52-40

  • Quote reference as your first name and surname.
  • Once you have set up or amended your standing order, please email us so we can identify your gift and thank you.

3. A One-Off Gift (Bank Transfer)

CAF Bank
Dibden PCC
Account number 00019164
Sort Code 40-52-40

  • Add a reference, eg ‘Gift Day’ or ‘All Saints’, if you want the money to go to a specific cause.

Alternative Methods of Giving:

1. Giving by card

  • Online – by credit/debit card through our secure payment gateway.
  • Via the ‘CollecTin’ card machine in the foyer at St Andrew’s. Select a payment of eg £5/ £20 using the touchscreen, or select your own amount.

2. Giving by cheque

  • Please make the cheque payable to DIBDEN PCC.
  • Write DIBDEN on the back so we know to treat your donation as a gift to support the work of Dibden Churches.
  • Our Registered Charity Number is 1131535.
  • Post to: St Andrew’s Church, Beaulieu Road, Dibden Purlieu, SO45 4PT.

Gift Aid

  • If you are a UK tax payer and eligible to Gift Aid, please download and complete this form and return to the Parish Office.
  • This will increase your gift by 25p for every £1 given (at current rate) at no extra cost to yourself.

Important – please notify the church if you:

  • Want to change your declaration.
  • Change your name or home address.
  • No longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.
  • If you pay income tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your self-assessment tax return or ask HMRC to adjust your tax code.

And finally…

We rejoice that God has moved so many people to generosity in the past at St Andrew’s and All Saints’ – we have a wonderful legacy of a generous church who have been generous with their time, gifts and money to create St Andrew’s Church and Centre and all that flows from it. We give thanks for our current church family and our online congregation, who give today to contribute to God’s mission here.

We encourage you to consider prayerfully what you can give. We are extremely grateful for any gift, large or small, and the PCC has the responsibility of making sure the money given is spent in the best possible way.
